Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search terms entered into an embedded search tool are sent to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Cass County Warrant Records does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be retained so we can answer it. We keep such correspondence within the organization unless disclosure is legally required. Do not send sensitive case facts or identifiers that an official Cass County office should receive instead.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal page requests can produce technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device and operating-system details
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. We and analytics services may use them to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Information is used for limited operational and business purposes:
- Operating, securing, and improving site performance
- Sending a submitted query to the selected search partner
- Understanding which reference pages visitors use
- Finding errors and resolving technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, sell, maintain, or compile a database of warrants or personal Cass County warrant records. It publishes general directions to Indiana MyCase, the Cass County Clerk, the Cass trial courts, and the Sheriff. No visitor information is assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes that appear on some content pages. Information entered there is governed by the provider’s privacy policy, retention choices, and sharing practices. We do not control those policies. Review the provider’s terms before submitting a query, especially one containing personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Indiana court resources, Cass County offices, law-enforcement pages, legal resources, advertisers, or search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Review it before disclosing personal details.
Advertising companies may use technology on their own systems to follow activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is subject to their policies, not this one.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available in limited circumstances to:
- Search providers that process a visitor’s submitted query
- Analytics companies supporting traffic measurement
- Advertising networks placing ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot promise that loss, misuse, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with a visitor’s location and the law that applies. Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act, Indiana Code 5-14-3, and Indiana’s Rules on Access to Court Records govern access to public agency and court records, not private-site consumer privacy rights. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information we hold
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of eligible information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
A request may be limited where retention or disclosure is required by law.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A new version becomes available here with an updated effective date. Reviewing the current version is the best way to understand the practices then in effect.
Effective date: September 12, 2026
